Schrock Named ICNP of the Year
Dylan J. Schrock of North Liberty was Iowa Certified Nursery Professional (ICNP) of the Year at the 2020 INLA annual meeting. Each year the association leadership identifies an individual who exemplifies the characteristics that are key to an ICNP. Schrock currently works for the University of Iowa as their groundskeeper. He received his degree from Kirkwood Community College in Landscape Design. He also received the INLA Community College Scholarship in 2016. Paul Saladin was awarded the 2017 ICNP of the year award by the INLA board of directors. Paul began his academic career back at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. He originally wanted to study aeronautical engineering and then decided his passion was for PLANTS! He was a Forestry major undergrad. Many of his friends and family cautioned him that getting a degree in Forestry was a dead end for getting a job but he pressed on.
